At Cat Club, we offer a wide range of activities designed to keep children active, creative, and happy. From arts and crafts to outdoor play, every session is filled with fun and learning!
Our morning club provides a calm and welcoming start to the school day. Children have access to breakfast from 7:30am until 8:10am, with a wide range of options available throughout the entire session. They can enjoy hot food, cereal, as much as they need to help set them up for a positive and productive day at school.
Once children have finished eating—or if they choose not to have breakfast—they are free to enjoy a range of activities to help them ease into the day at their own pace. We offer:
A variety of games and toys
A kitchen role-play area
A dollhouse corner
Bracelet-making and colouring resources for creative play
For children who benefit from a quieter, more relaxed start, we also have a TV room, which includes a PlayStation. Children take turns and enjoy playing together in a calm, supervised environment.
After school, children can enjoy free play as soon as they arrive. We offer a wide range of games, toys, and imaginative play areas, allowing children to unwind and choose activities that suit their interests.
Dinner is served at around 4:15 pm, and until then, children are welcome to play freely and relax after a busy school day.
Creative Activities
Each afternoon, we provide a creative activity for the children to explore. This might be:
A seasonal arts or crafts project
A themed activity linked to events or holidays
Recycled cardboard and materials for children to use their brilliant imaginations to create their own masterpieces
Outdoor Play
Weather permitting, we always give the children the option to go outside. They can enjoy:
Football
Tennis
Dancing on our outdoor mats
A wide range of playground equipment
The children love being outdoors, and we prioritise having staff available outside so they can play safely and actively.
Garden Area & Den
CAT Club also has a lovely garden, which includes:
A mud kitchen
A cosy den with a TV
Even when the indoor TV room isn’t open in the afternoon (as we focus more on outdoor play), children can still relax and unwind in the garden den if they prefer a quieter space.
After-Dinner Routine
Dinner usually finishes around 5:00 pm. Once the area is cleaned up, we move into our structured time:
Infants (Monday–Thursday):
We listen to the infant children read to help take some pressure off parents.
Juniors:
During this time, juniors are given Wordsearches or other individual or group activities so we can focus on reading with the younger children.
Thursday – Junior Homework Session:
On Thursdays, juniors complete their homework at the club so they don’t have to worry about it when they get home. A member of staff is always available to help with maths and English.
Once all reading and homework activities are completed, the children are free to return to playing with toys, games, and creative resources.
Friday Specials
Friday afternoons are extra exciting! After dinner, we offer special activities, such as:
Hama bead designs
Biscuit decorating
Other fun one-off projects
